Extrication Team
SPECIAL OPERATIONS 2002 COMPETITION TEAM
This year Station 31 continued with a new team that consisted of Sam Adler, Danielle Satchell, D.J. Manger, Corlas Goodman, Doug Stewart and Team Leader Larry Lawler. They placed 7th out of 17 in May 2002, in Pembroke Pines in the Southeastern T.E.R.C Regional, in what many consider to be the toughest region in the county.

Since 1992 P.B.C.F.R. Special Operations 31 has been competing in team extrication which they have placed either 1st or 2nd in the regional competition 8 out of 10 years. Of the 10 years they have placed, they proceeded 6 times to the international competition. In 1996 they placed 2nd in the international competition. The 1996 Team that won 2nd place was invited to 1997 F.D.I.C. Indianapolis, Indiana competition to give lectures and a live performance.
The team continually practices in the backyard of Station 31 trying out new equipment and techniques. In 1994 P.B.C.F.R. Special Operations won the Dupuis Innovation Award. There have been only four teams awarded this prestigious award in the history of extrication competitions.
