Loxahatchee Car-in-the-Canal Wreck Claims One Life

December 15th, 2002 -- Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue crews from Station 28, 21 and Special Operations Station 31 responded to a car in the canal at "F" Road and North Road in Loxahatchee.  First units on scene were Engine and Rescue 21.  They found the car completely upside down in a roadside canal.  Sheriff's deputies in 4-wheel-drive trucks assisted Firefighters in the rescue attempt by attaching winches to the car and pulling it up on its side.  Then firefighters were able to access the car and determine that its lone driver had died in the accident.  No other injuries were sustained.
